Further Investment to Optimise British Manufacturing
Tamlex has recently made a strategic investment to enhance its manufacturing capabilities and meet the growing demand for custom-made steel cable management solutions. To achieve this, the company has acquired a new state-of-the-art CNC brake press, the Trumpf TruBend 3100, which comes equipped with advanced features and software that seamlessly integrates into the production process.
This new investment represents a significant step forward in our commitment to delivering smaller batch runs, one-off parts, and odd-sized trunking and cable trays with greater accuracy and speed. The TruBend machine will work alongside our existing CNC press brake manufacturing equipment, including our two other TruBend machines and our Trumpf CNC punch press. By incorporating this new machine, we will streamline our operations, reduce lead times, and increase overall productivity.
The new machine is equipped with hydraulic clamping which allows for rapid tool changes, making it ideal for short production runs and providing the best level of service and quality to our customers. Thanks to the high-specification components used within the machine, it can maintain very tight tolerances with a higher level of consistency. We made this investment to align with our commitment to meeting the diverse needs of the electrical industry, and to future-proof our production capability.
The Trumpf TruBoost software, the latest version of which we are using, has helped to enhance our production processes significantly.
