How to Fit Metal Trunking

As a British manufacturer of steel cable management products, metal trunking is one of our most popular ranges. Originally manufactured with a screw fix connection for the lid, recently we have developed an easier and faster turnbuckle fixing. This latest development provides a positive lock-in-place turnbuckle which is easy to use and provides a strong and secure fixing. Both ranges are available from stock and all accessories are compatible with both connection types.

Our metal trunking system is now available as standard from 50x50mm up to 300x300mm and all the sizes in-between.

Metal trunking is an ideal solution for areas where additional protection is needed. Its mechanical strength ensures a robust and durable solution to cable containment and protection. Selecting the trunking size is dependent on two main factors; how many cables are to be installed and the size of the cables.

Being a UK based manufacturer and having complete control over our manufacturing processes we can design and produce bespoke sizes to suit special applications. In addition, we can powder coat to any RAL colour on request, as we supply our metal trunking as standard self-coloured.

How to Fit Metal Trunking

Metal trunking is designed such that the main body carries the weight of cables. Trunking should NOT be installed in any way that causes the lid to carry the cable weight.
